Why?

IMO, the behaviour (so far) is interesting but not proof (or disproof) of anything. What are you worried about?

By the way, congrats alsetalokin on an amazing device!

In my opinion his device is very significant.

    1) It's only utilizing permanent magnets.

    2) It's not only staying in motion but ACCELERATING.

I have no reason to believe that he is lying to us and is remotely accelerating the device with an external magnetic field. I think this device is awesome.

(Btw, I still can't quite get why the Czech Dream has so bad publicity here. If there is one thing I regret, it's that it was shot quite near the place I was living back then, I actually got their leaflet in my postbox, but I threw it off as "yet another discount store", instead of going there to see everything with my own eyes.)

As far as I could make out, it was the little rotor that was accelerating, not both rotors.

It looked to me like both the rotating stator magnet and the roter (larger central, holding 8 magnets) were accelerating, but I could be wrong.

If you followed the original threads, it has been stated that both parts accelerate when the two stator magnets are stopped. The remaining stator magnet only rotates at 4x higher speed than the rotor.

As "/" says. Here's a bit from the main thread...
...I have already given the relevant dimensions in an earlier post. So, hypothetically speaking if I were to get the rotor spinning at, say, 400 rpm by spinning it by hand; then quickly spin a stator magnet in the same direction by flipping it with a finger, could there be some resonant alignment of the fields that would make it "catch hold" and continue spinning at 1600 rpm (4 x rotor rpm), both rotor and stator magnet going clockwise?
Now suppose this relationship continued locked in phase as the assembly gradually accelerates until reaching a maximum measured rpm of 1904 rpm for the rotor, and 7633 rpm for the stator magnet, both rotating clockwise...
If it were an extended Czech Dream then OC and Al would have to be in on it.
It's just that you turning up at this crucial moment and being from the Czech Republic and having a copy of the video to hand does seem a bit suspicious.

As for the Czech Dream getting bad publicity, I doubt if the forum would have ever heard of it if someone from Holland hadn't tipped them off.

Interestingly enough I bought a copy of the Czech Dream. I eventually sent it to Shaun with my compliments.

But I agree, if it is an extended Czech Dream (or even and OverConfident Dream) it is indeed good entertainment. It's a pity RB has somewhat stolen the thunder though.

Why not say openly what you are implying.

Do you think it is a deliberate deception. Do you think the device is an extension of the Czech Dream say, with the connivance of OC and Al?

Do you think Steorn is co-operating in a Borat style documentary together with a cast of extras?

Or do you think Al is fooling himself?

After reading some of the sarcastic and, on the other side, overly optimistic posts, I would suggest that nobody takes this video too seriously. I mean the facts which this short clip demonstrates have been stated in the apropriate threads for some time without much commotion. What this test rig exhibits definitely IS very exctiting and interesting behaviour, yet nobody from the author/creator pair AFAIK makes it more significant than it is - that means not at all.

They're not calling it an OU device, they're not saying it runs forever without any external energy source, no. In fact, they are still as sceptical as they were in the start.

Alsetalokin just wanted to show that he really observes something, and that something is quite intriguing, but nothing more. Even as this, I think it was a very nice present to all people following the OC's MPMM effort and I'm glad that Al has made the video.

But please don't compare this with Steorns bold claims or demand more proofs, because there aren't any claims yet and nothing is to be proven. You can always just ignore all this like you did before and wait for something better documented, independently certified or whatever.

I agree with you babcat. Assuming OC and Al are not part of a Czech Dream then the device is very significant, indeed "awesome".

As for lying, if it's part of a Czech Dream then the people involved would no more see it as lying than actors in a play see their parts as lying.

Frank, I never said the imp was lying. Once upon a time there was the first law of thermodynamics, but most people round here seem to think it's a fairytale, it's only us old timers that still believe in such things, *sigh*. When I was a lad, on any given Saturday night you could expect the total angular momentum of a system to be conserved, and you'd still have change from half a crown.

Fair point. One could easily fall into the same trap that the Dutch chappie seemed to over the Kinetica toy and forget the angular momentum in the fields of the small magnets. That would explain why the large disc accelerated when the small magnets were stopped.
