Our development work in Africa
Our technology will have many applications and benefits, but none will benefit more than remote communities in developing countries. Our technology will be licence fee-free for humanitarian projects.
We are focusing on schools with under-utilised wells, as the school is an integral part of many communities.
Back in September 2006, a team from Steorn visited one such community in Kenya, Africa. We visited a school with an under utilised water well in a remote community about 100km from Nairobi. Our intention is to provide a water pump, powered by our technology, for this school and other selected community development based projects throughout Africa.
